Holidays abroad might be a little more difficult this year, particularly if you’ve had yours cancelled. ‘Staycations’ (or holidays at home) are on the rise right now with Brits all looking to get some kind of break in before the kids return to school. There are plenty of incredible destinations to enjoy around the country.

I’ve rounded up some of the most picturesque destinations you can visit in the UK this month to enjoy a much needed break.

The Cotswolds

The Cotswolds is home to a splendid array of stately homes and gardens, historic towns and stone villages, and was designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in 1966. It is also home to a rare grassland habitat because of its Jurassic limestone bedrock. If you love natural beauty, then the Cotswolds is for you and with 450 square miles to explore there’s plenty to keep you busy.
