We’re at the rear-end of lockdown 2.0 but over the horizon is a Tier 3 local lockdown for Hull which unfortunately means we cannot get back to our favourite restaurants just yet.

However there are still absolutely loads of incredible restaurants, bakeries and takeaways across Hull & East Yorkshire right now offering tasty meals and treats that can be collected and delivered. We’ve been covering some of our favourite Hull takeaways since the start of lockdown in November.

Check out this week’s tasty Hull & East Yorkshire takeaways…

Meze Bar & Grill

31 Cottingham Road, Hull, HU5 2PP
Order online >

One of my favourite cuisines is Turkish/Greek due to a few family holidays across the Mediterranean throughout my life. Meze Bar & Grill is one of the finest examples of Turkish/Greek cuisine you can find in the area and luckily for us they are delivering to our doors. Their menu is stuffed to the brim with classic Mediterranean main dishes such as Moussaka as well as some meze favourites. They’ve also got a range of burgers and pizzas if you’re not feeling entirely traditional.

This past week, I’ve been living off a tub of cookie dough from Milchig. Well not literally. But I did get a couple of tasty desserts out of it.

Milchig are one of the newest additions to Hull’s beloved Paragon Arcade and their cookies are selling like hot cakes. During lockdown 2.0 they made these tubs of cookie dough so you could make a fresh batch of cookies whenever you want. I enjoyed mine with a massive dollop of ice cream.

Thieving Harry’s is one of Hull’s finest eateries and I believe that to enjoy it to its fullest, you have to venture out to its gorgeous building right on the corner of Humber Street. But whilst we’re stuck indoors, I’ll settle for ordering right to my door. Their breakfast and brunch menus showcase their fantastic day-time cuisine including sandwiches, soups and burgers. They’ve also got a fantastic list of beers and ciders to lighten up your weekend even more.
