5 Reader Recommended Takeaways to Try This Week

For the past five weeks we’ve been suggesting some of our favourite takeaways and eateries offering delivery/collection throughout lockdown 2.0. However this week, you’re in charge of our list.

We asked our readers “What’s the best takeaway you’ve had recently?” and they had some great recommendations. We’ve selected some of our favourite comments to showcase some of Hull & East Yorkshire’s fan favourite takeaways.

We asked our audience on Facebook and Instagram “What’s the best takeaway you’ve had recently?”

Which Hull Takeaways Did Our Readers Recommend?

Aegean Taverna Greek

521-523 Anlaby Rd, Hull HU3 6EN

Aegean Taverna Greek comes at the recommendation of Tracey who commented on our Facebook post. And they give it a rating of 11 out of 10 which unfortunately isn’t possible. However taking a look at their menu its easy to see why Tracey rates it so highly. With classics such as Kleftiko, Moussaka, Souvlaki and Kebabs alongside steaks and chops from the charcoal grill, Aegean Taverna sounds like an absolute Greek dream. There’s also a shed load of meze options too if you just can’t choose a main.

Bamboo Gardens

192 New Bridge Rd, Hull HU9 2NX

Janet had a wicked Chinese feast for two for her birthday from Bamboo Gardens and by the sounds of it, they ordered too much. Janet, that’s the only way to order a Chinese takeaway so don’t worry! Plus Bamboo Gardens has a whopping 4.5 star rating on TripAdvisor and is rated in the top 10 Chinese restaurants in Hull so it’s definitely worth tucking into.

Bengal Pride

133 Chanterlands Ave, Hull HU5 3TJ

Bengal Pride comes from the recommendation of Linda who loves that they have a wide variety of dishes from the Indian subcontinent which apparently all taste individual. Sounds great! Bengal Pride has a huge takeaway menu including traditional curries, chef specialities, and even some decent veggie offerings.

Greek Street Food

32 Albion St, Hull, HU1 3TE

Greek Street Food came widely recommended from multiple of our readers and we agree with them as we featured Greek Street Food a couple of weeks ago!

Claire checked out Greek Street Food from their food truck which travels all around East Yorkshire. Sky also dropped 13 emojis whilst recommending it so it must be good! According to many reviews, this is the best Greek takeaway available in Hull. It’s not difficult to see why either. Their menu its filled with Greek favourites such as chargrill dishes, pita wraps, beef stifado, and of course, moussaka. Plus a whole load of Meze.

Hot Pizza

722 Holderness Road HU9 3JA Kingston upon Hull, UK

Gemma loves Hot Pizza on Holderness Road, especially their garlic bread. I haven’t checked out Hot Pizza personally but I do love me some good garlic bread.

Hot Pizza is your classic, reliable, pizza takeaway, with huge menu dedicated to greasy delights. With options including pizza, kebabs, wraps, and calzones, there’s bound to be something for everybody.
