Learn to Ice Skate
Skate UK hold plenty of events in the Hull Arena to help people learn to ice skate. Skate UK is the nationally approved course from beginner up to Gold level of ice skating. With a maximum of 15 people per class you can get the whole family involved or get your friends to join you. This is a fantastic way to learn a new sport and get active before the Christmas period. Find what date suits you.
Once you have learnt how to ice skate, you can then attend the public ice skating sessions that will be taking place every day until the 31st December so you can pick whatever day suits you. Also, every Friday on the run up till Christmas, there are disco ice skating session at the Hull Arena. With a resident DJ playing some of his latest hits, this is great for both families and kids before this festive season.
Indoor Rock Climbing
Every Tuesday at Rock City, the East Yorkshire Mountaineering Club meet and are always open to new members joining. All participants need to have completed the introduction to climbing course and belay competently. This can then lead to events that the club hold monthly weekend meets in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, North Wales and Scotland. This is a great way to get active and explore new places.
