What's it about?
Join Hull born poet Adam Ditchburn at the official celebration of the launch of his book As the Crow Flies and Other Poems.
The event will include live readings from the book and other material. Deeply inspired by the likes of Leonard Cohen, Charles Bukowski and the Beat Generation of poets, Adam’s work ranges from dark and macabre observations of life and death to uplifting and moving tales of love and loss. This is your opportunity to be part of a small and limited group who will hear several new, previously unperformed poems, in an intimate and beautiful environment at the James Reckitt Reading Room, Hull Central Library.
Ticket price is £5 and includes a copy of the book and a glass of bubbly. Although the poetry is aimed at adults, there will be no explicit language and under 12s are welcome and free of charge, when accompanied by an adult, but space is limited and a ‘free ticket’ must be booked in advance for accompanying children.
