    What's it about?

The 1st of many shows hosted by the I’m Not From London label of Nottingham and Hull’s very own Fast & Bulbous.
Based in Nottingham, I’m Not From London promote events, gigs, parties and festivals, run two record labels and are also a registered music publisher. Fast & Bulbous are teaming up with I’m Not From London to host many Hull gigs and you folks are the winners.

Bringing together the curious, the entertaining and the damn right brilliant is our promise to you. It’s Friday 13th so be scared…be very scared. We promise cabaret, rock n roll and punk spirit in it’s finest forms. Here we are then, three headline quality acts all together in one evening for a super, mega, mega night of joy!

    BLACK KES
From Hull, hell and bollywood we bring you top notch cabaret.
Black Kes do everything that you are not supposed to do. They sing songs about chaotic characters long forgotten with love and tenderness in a wild skiffle style. Audience participation is the only option. Black Kes are entertainment for all the freaks, underdogs and ugly people.

“Sheer poetic brilliance and banging rhythms. Take all your musical cliches and throw them into the River Hull. Black Kes consistently deliver genius raw emotion and free breakfast cereal. Even the saddest of sad songs make me cackle like an hyena on nitrous oxide.”

    WHISKY STAIN
Two piece power house WHISKY STAIN are notorious for their filthy hooks, catchy vocal melodies, huge sonic presence and energetic performances. The Nottingham based duo have been kicking up a storm in the UK with their unique blend of blues drenched licks and dance influenced beats.

The long anticipated 6 track EP Time Waits For No Man hit the shelves late 2018. Track 3 – Skelatone featured on BBC Introducing and was described as a catchy, filthy track taking it to the next level. The boys teamed up with Mornray Films to create an epic Viking-esque promotional video for the title track. Time Waits For No Man is fierce, gritty and packed with bone crunching riffs.

Previously featured on Sky’s hit series Ray Donovan; the track The Lord’s Revolver demonstrates perfectly Whisky Stain’s sonic identity. Intoxicated with heavy riffs drowning in fuzz, pounding drums and the harmonies of a bittersweet gospel hymn proclaiming the beginning of the end, this is Whisky Stain’s calling card.

    THE EVIL LITTER
Hull three piece The Evil Litter walk a perverse line between ‘art house’ and punk rock. Writing each song in its entirety within a 20 minute framework maintains a raw energy and Dada attitude. Often compared to The Slits, Siouxie & the Banshees, PJ Harvey, PIL, Sonic Youth & Jacques Brel, The Evil Litter are commanding both headline and big scene support slots (Bo Ningen, Girls In Synthesis, The Extons, Canshaker Pi). Check out recent album release Keep Yourself Afraid and social media for new recordings and upcoming tour dates. Join the ever growing Kitty Litter!
