    What's it about?

    A Pantomime in Two Acts

Bridlington Spa is once again teaming up with one of the country’s leading pantomime producers, Paul Holman Associates, to present the much-loved story of Jack and the Beanstalk.

Starring Star Trek legend Marina Sirtis headlining as the Empathic Fairy, and joining Marina is John Lyons from A Touch of Frost fame, and Disney’s Art Attack, Lloyd Warbey.

Best known to millions around the world for her role as the sexy and empathic Counselor Deanna Troi in the enormously successful Star Trek: The Next Generation television series and the four Paramount feature films that followed, Sirtis gained worldwide acclaim and a legion of loyal fans. Her character was ranked within the Top 20 Most Interesting Star Trek Characters of all time in a fan poll.

Now the LA-based star is exchanging the Hollywood hills to return to the UK and its time-honoured Christmas tradition of Pantomime. No stranger to the stage, Marina made her debut with Worthing Repertory Company as Ophelia in Hamlet.

Whilst still at school, London-born Marina applied in secret to the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama because her parents initially didn’t want her to become an actress. After earning her acting chops on British TV, Marina made the move to Los Angeles and is still a regular face on television with appearances in popular US dramas NCIS, Grey’s Anatomy, Girlfriends and Without a Trace to name a few.

With a bag full of magic beans, colourful characters, creative costumes and a set straight out of a fairy tale book, Jack and the Beanstalk promises to raise the roof with bucket-loads of laughter and the classic triumph of good over evil.

Our fast paced story will grow quicker than our magical beanstalk, with a dame to add confusion and comedy capers. And if that’s not enough, there’s Daisy the cow to bring cuteness to this enchanting tale!

Art Attack star Lloyd Warbey will be back by popular demand following his appearance as Wishee Washee in last year’s Aladdin, Lloyd will once again take charge of the comedy as he returns to play Jack’s loveable cheeky chappy brother Simon Trott.

The first star to be announced for this year’s panto Lloyd will once again swap his paintbrush for pantomime. Best-known to children for his fun-loving attitude, quirky style and passion for creativity, Art Attack presenter Lloyd will be sure to keep the fun factor flowing.

John Lyons who appeared as Detective Sergeant George Toolan in the long running popular ITV series A Touch of Frost will be returning to star as the King.

BSL signed performances Sunday 23 December at 1pm and Thursday 27 December at 5pm.

Relaxed performance: a specially adapted and relaxed performance for customers with a wide range of disabilities and for those on the autistic spectrum on Sunday 15 December at 5pm.
