Summer nights in Hull city centre are about to get a whole lot tastier starting this April.
Hull Street Food Nights are set to take place around the new Trinity Square development in the old town, once a month from April through to September. There are plans to have around a dozen local high-quality hot-food vendors, including Shoot The Bull, Kerb Edge and Tapasya. Along with the food, there will be a couple of pop-up bars too for a great selection of soft and alcoholic drinks.
HullBID, the team behind the new Street Food Nights, expect the evenings to be a great boost to the city’s early evening economy, by offering amazing food and great entertainment in a piazza style set-up.
“We will set it up a bit like a piazza, and have deckchairs, bistro tables and chairs, picnic benches and long canteen-style tables, and decorate the area with string lights.” said Catherine Goble, Marketing & Events Co-Ordinator for HullBID.
“In addition, we will have entertainment throughout the night, ranging from a DJ and live music through to Lindy Hoppers, magicians, jugglers, circus skill acts and fire eaters etc, which we hope will give it quite a bohemian and Mediterranean feel. Think Covent Garden meets Marrakech.”
The first night is set for Thursday 20th April and will follow once a month throughout the summer. All events are free to attend and should be ideal for the whole family, especially with the added entertainment.
Hull Street Food Nights for 2017 will be:
- Thursday 20th April
- Thursday 25th May
- Thursday 22nd June
- Thursday 27th July
- Thursday 17th August
