Hull’s Original Music Festival: Humber Street Sesh

It’s one of Hull’s favourite festivals and boy did it deliver! Humber Street Sesh showcases the region’s talent on the big stage unlike any other festival.

On Saturday, the team behind the scenes delivered their 5th annual festival and this time it was bigger than ever, attracting a crowd in excess of 30,000 people.

But Humber Street Sesh is unlike any other festival we’ve been to in Hull (and we have a fair few to compare with!). It’s unique in the music it delivers – original, unsigned bands – but it’s the atmosphere that really makes this festival a huge hit. During our year in the spotlight, we’re betting that this is the festival that most visitors will love the most. It’s urban street-vibe combined with the delicious food from our local restaurants just makes it a day to remember.

Nothing captures the spirit of this Hull Music Festival more than this brilliant behind the scenes video from KCOM Culture. In it, watch interviews with event directors, Mark Page and Dave Mays as they share their experience of the the festival and how they prepare for such a show.

We captured a few shots on our new Instagram feed too!
