Humber Street Sesh returns in August of 2019 on Hull’s Marina, showcasing over 200 artists to an audience of 32,000 people.
The event, which has focused mainly on local talent in previous years, now boasts a variety of established indie artists which festival director Mark Page hopes will further establish Humber Street Sesh as one of the UK’s finest emerging music festivals.
“Following seven years of providing a powerful platform for emerging artists from the region, we’re now engaging a little more from outside the city to help create powerful networks and raise the festival’s profile within the industry. We’re delighted with the line up for 2019, which features some of the country’s hottest bands and fully intend to put Hull on the UK festival map.”
Having become a two day attraction in 2018, 2019’s Humber Street Sesh offers a varied lineup of international touring acts with a variety of talented local performers.
Headlining The Main Stage, The Hunna have established themselves as one of the UK’s most in-demand bands.
Having experienced a rapid rise that saw the band land at #13 in the UK album charts, 10 months into their career, The Hunna have gone on to achieve a massive amount in the 18 months that have followed. The band’s Spotify catalogue has also topped 125 million streams. Previously referred to as ‘Rock’s Next Big Thing’ by Kerrang Magazine, singles ‘Bonfire’ and ‘You & Me’ helped to sell over 50,000 copies of their debut album ‘100’, making it one of the most successful releases by a UK band in recent times.
The Friday lineup also includes Yonaka, The Blinders as well as Life, a postpunk four-piece from Hull that have played Leeds and Reading, Latitude and Great Escape whilst also touring with Idles and Slaves.
