    About The New Adelphi Club

Entry to the front room (wherein you may find the pool table) is always free, what ever is happening in the main concert space. Our real ales are awesome, you’ll find us in the 2016 CAMRA Good Beer Guide. We also serve a variety of lagers, ciders, spirits, and St Louis Kriek. On nights when there is nothing on, we still open at 8 pm and you can enjoy said real ales at a discount of £1 per pint.

Originally built as a 3-bedroom terraced house in 1888, The Adelphi Club Hull is located on De Grey Street – a residential street between Beverley Road and Newland Avenue. To the rear of the club lies a railway embankment, once the main goods line between Hull and Barnsley, which runs parallel with De Grey Street itself, and is still used for freight to this day.

Inside the Adelphi are two main rooms; one a front taproom located to the immediate left of the front entrance, while a larger concert room is at the rear which can hold about 220 people. The bar was located between front and back rooms, the serving hatch to the front room providing panoramic views of the concert hall. Toilets are to the rear of the building and could only be used by walking through the concert room. The upstairs of the building, accessed through a private door just inside the main entrance, provided living quarters for the club’s subsequent owners.
