A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Friday evening)
Classic Shakespeare is on the cards tonight as talented youth from Hull’s schools, academies and Hull Truck Youth grace the Hull Truck Theatre stage for a special performance of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Zippo’s Circus (Friday – Sunday)
Take the family to see death-defying acts this weekend while Zippo’s Circus is in town. Wheel of Death; Trapeze; horses, cats and budgies; acrobatics; and clowning around. Check their Facebook page for 30% off tickets (link in listing).
Green Day’s American Idiot (Friday and Saturday)
It’s the final performances of the Award winning musical featuring Newton Faulkner, Amelia Lilly and music from Green Day. Even if you’re not a fan of the American punk outfit, it’s been getting rave reviews. Go see it before it heads back to London!
The Cosmic Groove (Friday night)
If American Idiot really isn’t your thing, then try something a little funkier. Playing all the best funk, soul, nu-disco, sweet new twists on some old classics, it’ll be a night out with a difference.
Stand Up Comedy Night (Friday)
Not in the mood for a boogie or even just a bit skint? Then join some of Yorkshire’s best local comedians at this comedy night at Mecca in Hull. It’s FREE so you’ve got nothing to lose!
Lord Mayor’s Gala 2016 (Saturday)
This hugely popular annual festival returns and it’s perfect for the whole family. It’s a fun, free family day out at one of Hull’s favourite gardens. Bring a picnic and enjoy the entertainment on offer for everyone.
Ultimate 80s Night (Saturday night)
Calling all children of the 80s! It’s another blast from the past as The Village Hotel hosts this 80s night to remember. Prepare for a 2-course dinner followed by the themed disco until late!
Two Pianos (Saturday night)
