Within Hull there are plenty of mega coffee chains around, so we’ve decide to mention a few of our favourite independent coffee houses, that you maybe haven’t heard of before but can certainly fill your caffeine craves. You might not want to try them all in one day, unless you plan on staying awake until Christmas.
Labelled as “the go to coffee house on Newland Avenue” this social hub provides a cheerful service to a café that’s always full of life. A great choice on the menu too with humongous size cups!
Ferriby’s Coffee House
Located in North Ferriby, this hidden gem offers more than just coffee. There is a range of cakes, sandwiches and scones available as well as the opportunity to buy homemade wears. There’s a lovely cosy atmosphere surrounding the café and if you leave without trying their famous caramel cake, then you’d better go back quickly.
Tucked away down Whitefriargate, this little gem is offering a friendly atmosphere and a personality much bigger than it’s size. With cosy fairy lights, this café seems like the perfect place to go as the weather starts to get cold.
The Coffee House
Last, but certainly not least, we mention The Coffee House. This is an independently owned café that has been in Hull for over 50 years (so they obviously know their beans). Described as a fantastic value for money we are sure this one will be a favourite amongst many.
