If you’ve been anywhere near social media recently you’ve probably heard that these guys have just moved into Hull’s city centre.
Officially opening on the 12th of April, The (two-story) Vintage Store is Hull’s largest on offer and with all those rails comes the likelihood of finding an absolute gem!
Stocking anything, and everything, from retro sweatshirts, to bags & accessories, vintage skirts & denim, leather, trainers, boots and coats – whatever you’re looking for, chances are you’ll find it here.
Poorboy Boutique Vintage Clothing
17 Humber St, Hull HU1 1TH
Poorboy was conceived by the fusing together of thrift and luxury and that’s easy to see from their stock of unique, vintage pieces from across the globe.
They stock one off vintage items and exclusive brands, as well as their ‘Poorboy: Remade’ items which are vintage garments that are re-worked and tailored to give them a new lease of life.
Plus their shop is down the beautiful Humber Street making for a perfect stop during a day out.
Chinese Laundry
Norwich House, 1 Savile St, Hull HU1 3ES
Chinese Laundry is a vintage store that is located in the heart of the city centre and also the hearts of locals.
They specialise in vintage and alternative clothing, and also stock Pop Boutique and Warrior clothing.
Chinese Laundry also have their own in-house label called Re-Rinsed on offer.
Beasley’s
17 Hepworth Arcade, Silver St, Hull HU1 1JU
Beasley’s is Hull’s longest established independent retro and vintage shop located in Old Town’s Hepworth’s Arcade.
For the past 30 years they’ve been importing vintage and army surplus directly from America and repurposing it for the lovely people of Hull.
This two story vintage store houses brands such as Dickies, Ben Davis, Limpet Store, Brixton, Salt Water, Blundstone and YKRA.
If headwear is your thing, they’ve got a hats store just opposite; stocking brands such as Stetson, Christys’, Bailey Hats, Kangol, Olney, Failsworth and many more
Dove House Hospice No 87
87 Newland Ave, Hull HU5 2AA
Dove House No 87 is a crucial part of the Newland Avenue thrift shopping experience and that’s because of their offering of all things vintage and retro including clothing, accessories, home interiors and much more.
This charity shop just reopened under new management and I for one am grateful for their comeback this April.
Not only do they stock unique and quality vintage clothing as well as bric-a-brac, but it’s all for a good cause!
Worth The Weight Vintage

This Sheffield based vintage wholesalers is the perfect place to pick up your retro threads in bulk, as 1kilo of clothing will cost you just £15.
What’s the catch? Well the clues in the name, you’ll have to wait for their next event – which happens to be on Saturday 17th of April.
Roisin Dubh Vintage Gift Boutique

Roisin Dubh is a gift emporium which stocks a range of retro and eclectic goodies as well as beautiful hand-picked products from across the UK.
The vintage store opened in 2009 in the beautiful Hepworth Arcade and provides a personal and unique shopping service.

This wonderful and wacky vintage store is just a stone throw away from the station and stocks some of the funkiest antiques in town.
