It’s finally December which means it time to get into the festive spirit.

This month Leeds Playhouse and Leeds Corn Exchange will join forces to host festive family take-over day, in one of Leeds most icon and beautiful building: Leeds Corn Exchange.

Now fully decked with festive lights and a perfectly decorated Christmas tree, the Corn Exchange is the perfect venue for Leeds Playhouse’s festive take-over.

On Saturday 15th December, the take-over will see the Corn Exchange filled with Christmas themed activities and workshops for young people aged 5 – 16 and their families. Best of all it is completely free!

You can expect to find a packed programme of events suitable for all ages to enjoy. Including, story dens, festive choirs, singing groups, craft activities and workshops all inspired by Leeds Playhouse’s current winter production A Christmas Carol, now playing in the Playhouse’s Pop-Up Theatre.

There will also be a very special opportunity to dress-up as your favourite character in a pop-up photo booth, with beautiful outfits from Leeds Playhouse’s Costume Hire department.

This family friendly day of events will be delivered by the award-winning Creative Engagement programme.

This is the first time Leeds Playhouse and Leeds Corn Exchange have team up to deliver an event. Leeds Corn Exchange Manner Adam Warner, has said he is excited about the collaboration: “We’re really excited to welcome Leeds Playhouse to Leeds Corn Exchange on the 15th December (…) Leeds Corn Exchange has long been a hub of creative activity in the city and we are looking forward to welcoming their team for a unique day of workshops, live music, performances and more.”

This take-over day is a brilliant way to have fun with your family this Christmas season.

Leeds Playhouse will take over Corn Exchange from 10am on Saturday 15th December.

Don’t miss this festive treat for the whole family to enjoy!
