What's it about?

Who’s in charge? is an exhibition that celebrates the impact that Art School for Rebel Girls, a project led by Pavilion, has had since its conception two years ago, and looks at where it might go in the future.

Art School for Rebel Girls is a project that gives young female artists the opportunity to create pieces that project their voices and provides a space to explore the issues that are important to them. The artworks they have created frequently reflect the feminist politics of the project, as well as demonstrating the importance of collaboration. Who’s in charge? explores not only at the importance of these artworks but also the process that went into their creation, and the impact that the project has had on the rebel girls.

The exhibition also looks at what the future might hold, both for the girls involved and for the project itself, with the current rebel girls about to move on to the next stage in their education.

This exhibition is part of the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies 70th year anniversary exhibition, and is open from 03.12.19 to 12.12.19 in common room of the department building.
