In 2014, it was voted the ‘Best New Venue in the World’ at the Stadium Business Awards. For an arena it’s size, it’s quite unique to have a “theatre style” configuration where all seats are facing the stage. The design and acoustics makes it ideal for hosting music concerts compared with more traditional arena layouts.

So far, First Direct Arena Leeds has hosted some of the biggest artists in the world, since opening in September 2013.

The arena has even hosted huge key award events including The MOBO Awards, and BBC’s Sports Personality of the Year.
