Papa’s Fish and Chips are throwing their hats in the ring for the infamous battle between Aldi & Marks and Spencer.
Whilst the supermarkets are fighting it out in court (and on Twitter), Papa’s are giving Colin The Caterpillar a proper battering in the name of charity.
The Sweet Battered Mini Colins went on sale yesterday for £1.49 with all profits being donated to Teenage Cancer Trust.
Sorry Marks and Spencer we’re backing Aldi UK on this one. #SnitchersGetBattered so we’re BATTERING Mini Colin the Caterpillars in our delicious batter Mon 26th – and all profits go to Teenage Cancer Trust!@PapasFishNChips on Twitter
Ps Charging £1.05 for scraps was also a bad idea #FreeCuthbert #FreeScraps
Owner Dino said: “It’s all a bit of fun and a great way to raise money for charity.
“Like the rest of the nation, we have been gripped by the Colin and Cuthbert saga and we’ve chosen which side we are backing. The battered caterpillars are also absolutely delicious, so we thought why not?”
The campaign was originally supposed to be for one day only, however by popular demand Papa’s are continuing to sell them until they run out of stock.
You can find the battered Colin at all of Papa’s locations.
