Hull’s annual comedy festival has announced a return for 2021 following a break during the pandemic.
It’s the 15th time that the festival will take place since it began in 2007, and will take over the city at multiple venues in Hull city centre including Hull Truck Theatre, Social Humber Street and Hull Trinity Market
In partnership with local entertainment guide, Hull What’s On, the festival have announced an hilarious line-up of comedians to perform at this year’s event. They’ll be a variety of acts and performances including touring shows, big TV names, family-friendly shows, award winning performers, local and regional comedy talent with a sprinkle of the hottest shows from the UK festival scene and the Hullarious Free Fringe.
This year’s festival kicks off on Tuesday 2nd November with Stockport housewife, (and cleaner to the stars), Take a Break reader and Britain’s Got Talent star Barbara Nice for all the best bits of her 25 years of delighting live comedy audiences, (as well as new stuff she wrote on the bus).
Nominated for ‘Best Show’ at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Delightful Sausage: Ginster’s Paradise is a holiday camp unlike any other, offering the hard graftin’ folk of Yorkshire the opportunity to kick back, relax and forget the stresses of everyday life. As the new Salmon Coats, Chris and Amy’s job is to keep the guests entertained, medicated and obedient (there’s no need to ask questions or start poking around!)
And popular local-lads, Jed Salisbury and Gary Jennison will be performing their hit show Jeddy Bear & Gary’s Picnic which was nominated for ‘Best Kids Show’ at the Leicester Comedy Festival & UK Kids’ Comedy Festival awards 2021.
The full line-up of the festival runs from 2nd until 21st November with a closing ceremony on the 28th
